Learn to ski and snowboard programs are in full swing this week at Black Mountain. Our super affordable learn to ski packages offer guests a full day lift ticket, rental equipment and a 90 minute lesson for only $59!!

RACE PROGRAM AT BLACK MOUNTAIN

Coach Brant McAleer began his race program today at Black Mountain. Our Jr. race program is geared for children ages 6-12 and runs every weekend and school vacation periods. Stay tuned for updates on this program throughout the season.

SNOW GUNS BLASTING ON BLACK MOUNTAIN

The snow guns are working overtime with more terrain opening every day on Black Mountain. This shot was taken this morning on Upper Jackson Standard. Snowmaking on the mountain's west side is about 90% complete.

SANTA SITING ON SLOPES OF BLACK MOUNTAIN

We could hardly believe our eyes either at first but it was true....Santa spent the day at Black Mountain. After a great day on the slopes he headed to the base lodge where he handed out gifts to all of the children, trimmed the Christmas tree and joined in caroling with the very talented Jackson Grammar School Choir. There is always something fun going on at Black Mountain!

COLD TEMPS ON OUR SIDE

With temps dipping far below 0 with the wind chill tonight and tomorrow, our guns will be blasting right up until the lifts start turning Friday morning. Opening Day promises to be a heck of a deal with $10 tickets, great conditions and a welcome home apres party!!!

The day we've all been waiting for finally arrived! Despite the slow start with above normal temps, the thermometer has finally dropped and our snowmaking team has been working around the clock! Mother Nature jumped in on the fun early this morning and the snow has not stopped falling all day! A foot is predicted by the time it's all over late tonight. Opening day is Friday, December 18th with $10 all day lift tickets!
